
The turn-based combat is very engaging, as are the soapy stories. They really don’t make games like they used to, and this is the most playable old-school JRPG I can remember in forever.


While I do wish that Octopath had a bit more off-the-wall ambition the fact is that it definitely accomplishes what it set out to do. Take in gorgeous realistic aspects that are reminiscent of vintage 2D RPGs in a 3D environment.Make choices that will affect your path as you complete side missions and plot scenarios in a variety of ways.Enjoy the user-friendly yet complex turn-based combat game system and overcome opposing defenses by determining and concentrating on their weak points.Utilize the unique powers (Path Actions), skills, and talents of each character in fast-paced fights.Explore the captivating yet dangerous world of Orsterra, which is divided into 8 enormous zones, and learn the whole backstory of each character as their quest takes them.
