The state police on three subsequent weekend days, in fact, added about 15 troopers to the normal patrol.īut the results so far are modest, based on speed measurements taken along the interstate and interviews with travelers on the highway. If an anti-speeding campaign has any prospect of succeeding, experts say, it must include some of the techniques followed by Virginia, including such aggressive publicity and intermittent follow-up enforcement.
